Hi there,

I am looking for home insurance. Can you recommend a company that does NOT engage in deceptive practices to avoid paying legitimate claims?

Hi Laura,

I can recomend that you avoid companies with the largest number of unfavorable consumer experiences.

For the Commercial Union Consumers' Forum site you can see for yourself that that would be Commercial Union / General Accident, Allstate, Prudential Ins. Co., and Sun Life.

A good agent or broker should be your first line of defence. If they give you bad advice hold them accountable as well as the insurance company.
