I purchased health insurance approx. 1 year ago. Mine and my wife's insurance premium was to start at $ 183.00 a month, but we needed a checkup so we got one. They said my cholestorol was high so that made our premium $ 216.00 a month.
So i get medication and got it back down to normal then after they tell me that when i get it down my insurance would go back down, we have to wait a year, and at the same time we would have to wait a year before my wife can have a baby.
I have been to the doctor twice for two checkups in the year.
All of a sudden our premium has jumped up to $ 339.00 a month. I'm ready to cancel my business with them, but i would like to find an insurance company that will stand behind there word or either be able to contact the better business bureau.

Mr. Platt forgot to mention that the insurance company he is refering to is the UNION BANKERS INSURANCE COMPANY. He would be grateful if someone would recommend a company that honours their word.
