.....The following is a list of deficiencies in the fire restoration work performed by ATC Ltd. at 25 Salem Ave in the Spring of 1996. Additional deficiencies have since come to light. The list does not include work which was not done, but for which ATC Ltd. invoiced Commercial Union.
Consumer Union's response was to pay ATC Ltd.'s invoice for this work.
The response from R.P.Insurance Adjusters Inc.was to authorize payment for these services as well as services which were not performed.
When we refused to authorize payment for this work as well as work which was not performed the response from The Alex Taylor General Contracting Co. Ltd was to place a lien on our home.

General Items
#1 Removal of newly installed elements of heating system (ducts and furnace).
#2 Installation of heating system as per engineer's report and plans.
#3 Removal of insulation, vapour and moisture barriers, as necessary for the proper installation of moisture barrier below grade and mechanicals.
#4 Installation of cost effective moisture barrier below grade as per engineer's report.
#5 Penetration and treatment for smoke odour of all undisturbed wall, floor and ceiling cavities, as well as attic and roof cavities.
#6 Lag bolt through main bearing beam in basement (areas 006, 008, 009) as per engineer's report
#7 Removal of 2 steel jacks and replacement with steel columns and footings as per approved plans
#8 Removal of 2 damaged masonry columns and replacement with new masonry columns and footings as per approved plans and engineer's report
#9 Removal and replacement of deficient and damaged frame and masonry bearing walls in the basement, first and second floors as per approved plans and engineer's report (areas 006, 009, 103, 204)
#10 Allowance for relevelling joists and subfloor due to structural movement caused by deficiencies # 6,7,8,9 above
#11 Allowance to insure that newly installed subfloor is supported by and properly attached to underlaying joists.
#12 Allowance for removal and disposal of garbage presently on site.
#13 Installation of gas line feed for range top in area #107

#1 Removal and resetting according to manufacturers instructions of deep shower/tub base

#1 Re: General deficiency #9. Removal and rebuilding of 6 LNF of damaged masonry wall with footing, to support easterly end of bearing beam and westerly end of joists as per engineer's report

#1 Removal and replacement of 6 inches of gravel flooring.

#1 Cleaning, sealing and finishing of 3 walls.
#2 Replacement of 2 "twin in" gas hot water tanks
#3 Removal and rebuilding of furnace room frame wall approximately 18 inches to the east as per heating engineers report and plans
#4 Replacement of 2 French windows
#5 Installation of new joist hangers at fireplace hearth
